Sheila was born in Caracas, Venezuela. In 1990 she obtained her Degree in Modern Languages from Universidad Metropolitana. She worked as an English teacher in Preschool, Elementary School and High School and at Berlitz while studying to become a professional translator. She obtained her first Translations Degree from Berlitz School of Interpreters and Translators, where she was hired to work as a translations teacher. Later, she obtained a Certificate in Translation with Special Merit from Words Language Services in Dublin, Ireland, and since then she has been working as a translator and project manager for several years. In 2011 she completed a third Certificate in Translations from New York University (NYU.)
Sheila has been living in the US for over 14 years, where she has become knowledgeable about the North American culture and language while keeping her Latin American roots and Spanish language intact. She speaks Spanish, English and Italian. Currently, she is Lingua’s Translation and Interpretation Department Director.
