Our Fort Lauderdale Center is located in the heart of America’s Venice –world renowned Las Olas Boulevard - the most popular street in Fort Lauderdale, where the art district of the City, dozens of restaurants, river-front cafes and one-of-a-kind shops, galleries, nightclubs and boutiques give a unique atmosphere to the area. Students can enjoy a vibrant nightlife, take a stroll in a Venetian-style gondola on the river and many canals, take part in the annual Las Olas Food and Wine Festival, or simply put, enjoy miles of beautiful white sand-blue wave beaches, located within a five-minute drive from the school.

Students are encouraged to participate in the extra-curricular activities held by the LINGUA Center, including field trips to Fort Lauderdale museums, the Broward Performing Arts Center, the Main Branch of the Broward County Library, restaurants, shopping centers, sports and cultural events, and the beautiful South Florida beaches among others.
Students in the Intensive English Program can enjoy the gymnasium at any Campus of Broward College.
Students in the Intensive English Program can utilize any of Broward College’s resource centers, located at different campuses and centers of Broward College throughout Broward County. Resource centers are equipped with Internet and computers with access codes available to students, through their Broward College email account. IEP students are able to study side by side with American students at any of the libraries of Broward College, and check out books, e-books, movies and music in English and foreign languages. Additionally, they have access to the Main Branch of the Broward County Library System located within steps from our Downtown Fort Lauderdale Center and to the Weston Public Library Branch, located in the same building as our Weston Center.
Students in the Intensive English Program benefit from daily interaction with American college students on any Broward College campus. They can make a new friend at the college coffee shop, have a lively conversation at one of the student lounges, and stroll along beautiful Las Olas Boulevard to a nearby restaurant, art gallery or even the beach! They can also spend time at one of Broward College's Student Activity Centers, where they can relax, meet new people, watch a movie, shoot some pool or play some ping pong. They can visit Broward College’s Museum, the Buehler Planetarium & Observatory, enjoy a simulation flight at the Aviation Institute at Broward College, practice watersports at Tigertail Lake Recreational Center at Broward College, go to workshops, music, theatre and dance performances on campus, and visit on-campus art exhibits.Read more
Students are eligible for multiple discounts around town, including the movies, restaurants, stores, public transportation, etc.
Lingua students also benefit from free parking** at the Weston Center or North Campus., free wi-fi available in our facilities, and complimentary Broward College e-library access.
**Please note that Fort Lauderdale Las Olas Campus students who require parking permits at the City of Fort Lauderdale garage (located adjacent to the main campus building) will be charged a preferential group fee of $50, which also includes the processing of a Broward College identification card. Similarly, if a student wishes to obtain an ID card whether or not they require parking, they will also need to pay the $50 fee. All students will be registered in the Broward College system and will obtain login credentials for computer access, and an email address at no charge to them, however it should be noted that the processing of the actual ID badge is available only through this separate $50 fee.
***Please note that while Lingua provides free parking for students in Weston and North campus, Lingua will not be held responsible for any fines or tickets incurred while utilizing parking facilities, nor will it be responsible for any fines or tickets incurred at the Fort Lauderdale parking garage. Students may park only in designated areas that are subject to change any given semester. Failure to park in approved designated spaces will result in fines that are the sole responsibility of the student.
