Last October 26th, we had the opportunity to attend to the first version of TEDx Broward College. It was held at Central Campus, in Davie, Florida, and broadcasted live in all Broward College campuses. The event brought together a wide range of speakers that delighted the audience with varied topics.
A varied mix of art, culture and technology were the best discussions of the evening, during which Lingua Language Center also played a part. Claudia Mariann Diaz, a former student of our Intensive English Program and current Broward College student, shared her thoughts about the benefits of micro-learning in the field of education and training.
Claudia, is a young Venezuelan woman with a charismatic spirit, who developed a microlearning application while studying at Lingua Language Center. The latter is capable of compressing the content taught in the English classrooms into shorter lessons. These in turn, allow the students to retain knowledge and acquire concepts by simpler and faster means, thus speeding up the process of learning the English Language.
Lingua GO, as the application is known, has become a pocket guide for all Lingua Language Center students. This innovative technology adds further flexibility to the school’s Enter-Traning℠ Methodology by providing a learning tool that can be used anytime and everywhere.
Thanks Claudia Diaz for this valuable contribution!
