Support services in the following areas

Lingua offers assistance to international students with local accommodation needs during their stay in the United States. Whether you are looking for a beach-front apartment or hotel, a suburban family homestay or a metropolitan hotel room, Lingua can help you with your housing needs.

M any hotels and vacation villages offer corporate discounts to Lingua and its clients. The student is responsible for accommodations payment to the hotels and must cover any “late cancellation” or “no show” fees to any hotel rooms booked. Please make sure to read carefully the cancellation policy of any hotels where reservations are made.

L ingua can assist the student with transportation to and from main airports in South Florida (Fort Lauderdale International Airport and Miami International Airport. Lingua also assists students in contracting with a car leasing agency (long-term rental car program is offered only for students of legal age). Lingua requires health insurance for all international students. This can be processed in your country of origin or through LINGUA. However, should you purchase insurance on your own, be advised that it must meet the minimum coverage requirements. Proof of insurance is required before class start date.

A s students advance in their English language skills, some of them may want to transfer to an academic institution for higher education, like Broward College or Millennia Atlantic University. Lingua works hand-in-hand with these students to guarantee a smooth transition between schools. International Student Advisors for Broward College and Millennia Atlantic University are available on-site to assist you with all the requirements for transferring to a degree program. Lingua Language Center also welcomes students requesting transfers from other language schools. Contact us if you are interested in transferring from another academic institution.

L ingua School has been certified by United States Federal Law to enroll non-immigrant foreign students in the Intensive English Program. The F-1 visa allows a non-immigrant, full-time student entry into the United States to pursue education. You may apply for an F-1 visa from the U.S. State Department only after an approved U.S. academic institution accepts you for admission. For additional information Click here
